Bonamour Health Group was founded by Mike and Shaya Zidele. Their vision was to create skilled nursing facilities that are homelike for the residents, involved in the communities we serve and a desired place of employment. 

As a family owned organization, Bonamour provides short- and long-term care, hospice, respite and personal care services at our locations throughout western Pennsylvania. Our leadership team and vendor partnerships support these services with the goal of providing exceptional service to those we care for.

Our support office is located in Clairton, Pennsylvania, and we have nursing facilities spread across western Pennsylvania.

Shaya Zidele

Chief Executive Officer

Shaya leads Bonamour Health Group with kindness, compassion and strategic thinking. He works hard to create a welcoming, engaging environment for staff and residents. Shaya is passionate about helping our residents and is always looking for ways to improve their experience. 

Our team would describe Shaya as friendly, innovative and a kind leader. He believes that the staff we have at BHG is what sets us apart from other nursing centers, and the success of our centers is because of their hard work. 

When he isn’t working, Shaya loves being a dad and enjoys spending time with his kids and family.

Mike Zidele

Chief Financial Officer

Mike brings 35 years of experience to the team at Bonamour Health Group. He shares his knowledge, and his passion for helping people, with everyone on our team. He takes a hands-on approach to leadership and puts our residents first in every decision he makes. Our team would describe him as friendly, knowledgeable and always ready to help.

He has been working with with in long term arena since 1986 when he managed a 320-bed nursing facility. Mike worked there for 26 years, consistently helping to improve the standard of care. Over the next several years, he worked with other nursing facilities ranging from stand-alone facilities to a 32-center chain. He brings all of these experiences to BHG.

Family is one of the most important parts of Mike’s life. He has nine children and loves spending time with his kids, grandkids and the rest of his family.

Amanda Szalankiewicz, MHA, NHA

Director of Operations

Since she joined the team at Bonamour Health Group, Amanda has been instrumental in keeping things working smoothly. She brings over 25 years of experience to our team. Before she became our regional administrator, she worked in mental health, skilled nursing, long-term and acute care, personal care and assisted living. 

Amanda is a team player who is passionate about helping everyone at BHG. We’re grateful for the kindness, knowledge and friendly attitude she brings to work every day. We don’t know what we’d do without her! 

When Amanda isn’t working, she loves spending time with her family, kids and friends. They always have fun together whether they’re doing activities around town or just chatting.

 

Bren Lembo

Regional Director of Human Resources

As our Regional Director of Human Resources, Bren works behind the scenes to keep our team happy. She’s known for her people-first attitude, her compassion and her exceptional attention to detail. Her goal is to create a positive workplace where our team can feel happy at work and proud of what we accomplish throughout each day. 

Bren brings over 15 years of human resources experience to our team. She’s spent most of her career in manufacturing and healthcare settings. She brings her passion for her job to Bonamour Health Group every day.

When she’s not working, Bren loves to spend time with her family.

Ben Ruggles BSN, RN, CDONA

Director of Clinical Operations

Seeing smiles on the faces of our residents inspires Ben every day. He’s been helping us create a homey environment at our skilled nursing facilities since he joined Bonamour Health Group in 2022. Our team would describe Ben as detail-oriented, organized, compassionate, dedicated, and always down for a cup of coffee with a friend.

Ben brings a lot of expertise to our clinical staff. He started his career as a certified nursing assistant before becoming a registered nurse. Ben brought his passion for helping people to many patients in his time as an acute care nurse where he helped in medical surgical units, emergency rooms, and ICUs. In 2007, he made the switch to working in nursing centers and never looked back. 

Our residents and staff, alike, are lucky to have such an honest, dependable person on our team. When Ben isn’t working, he loves to travel and spend time in the great outdoors. You might find him camping with friends and family, boating on the lake, or simply reading a book out on the deck with a cup of coffee in hand.
